Bidding success at multivendor sale held at ‘Munna’, Coolah, NSW

We’ve just returned from another interstate sale. This time we went to Jill & Harry Powell’s ‘Munna’ in NSW.

We were able to place the winning bid for the first three ‘Munna’ ewe pens on offer and also placed the winning bid of $2500 on a stunning ram bred by Judy & Peter Colless (‘Carthona’, Wingham, NSW). The 2009 drop ram is one of triplets and will further improve the maternal traits of our Misima flock.

Misima Stud in 'Tasmanian Country' feature

The ‘Tasmanian Country’ published a full page feature on Wiltipolls in the November 11^th edition and we were able to talk about our philosophy and breeding objectives at Misima Stud. Since then we had even more interest in our Wiltipolls - which is fantastic.

Bidding success at the South Australian Combined Breeders Sale.

We’re delighted that we were able to place the winning bid on the two top pens of ewes at the 2010 South Australian Combined Breeders sale. The outstanding ewes were bred by San Jolly & Ann Wallace from WONOKA in Kapunda, SA and sold to $935. It is fantastic that we were able to get them to Tasmania.

We also placed the winning bid of $2200 on a well muscled young ram from Margaret & Jack Slater (Coolamon Park, Pinnaroo, SA).
